The art of cabinetmaking meets
design
It was 2003 when art entered the world of Ebanisteria Morelato. The Aldo Morelato Foundation was born, a project strongly desired to deposit, and at the same time develop, the culture linked to the tradition of furniture and cabinetmaking. The chosen home for the Morelato Foundation is a historic Venetian mansion, Villa Dionisi, confirming the solid link with the territory.
Here the historical, design and artistic heritage of all our activities has been collected in a permanent exhibition: a company museum – MAAM Museum (Museum of Applied Arts in Furniture), custodian of works, prototypes, fruit of research, developments, projects, study tests and collaborations, accumulated over decades of company activity. This museum represents the heart of our production of handcrafted furniture, where each piece reflects the tradition and innovation of our company.
A visual journey that summarizes the most important stages of Morelato history. Many names from the world of design have contributed to enriching the collection housed at the Foundation, which is now part of the Italian Design Heritage Network established by the Triennale Museum in Milan. At the MAAM Museum, design meets art, history intertwines with the present, and furniture becomes art. The museum tells the story of our company, from its origins to the present day, showcasing the finest examples of our handcrafted wooden furniture.
